Available fabrics
Our two most commonly used fabric options are 5 and 10 percent openness. They offer 95% and 90% protection based on openness. We use mainly darker colors to absorb the heat and absorb excess light passing through the fabric. More absorption equals more protection and a clearer view through with less glare. Mermet fabrics come in two styles: Natte and Satine. Natte offers the conventional 2×2 basketweave pattern, while the Satine offers a decorative twill weave pattern.

Screen housings and rail systems
Most of our screens are installed with an exterior powder-coated aluminum housing and rail system. We use extruded T6061 aluminum, made in America, that is powder coated at Tucson Rolling Shutters and Screens. We provide customers with 6 standard colors to choose from for their screen housing and rail system, but custom color powder coating is available to match any color, at an additional charge.

The primary operation of a Solution Screen is via a motor with built-in radio receiver. One touch of your transmitter can lower, raise, or stop your screens. One transmitter can operate each screen individually or as a group. Remote offers the best flexibility for future upgrades and integration.
Square Handheld Radio Remote
Our magnetic wall-mounted base provides you with a convenient place to store your remote.
Remotes are available as single-channel or 15-channel. Single-channel remotes operate on one screen or one group of screens. 15-channel remotes can operate up to 15 screens, each individually as well as simultaneously.
Radio Wall Switch
Radio Wall Switches are available as single channel or 15 channel control. Single-channel control operates one retractable screen. 15-channel control operates 15 different screens. This option includes a master channel to operate everything simultaneously. Radio Wall switches can also be used with the Hub Connector and mobile app.
Hub Connector
The Hub Connector can be programmed to operate your Solution Screens. From the Connector app, you can operate your radio-transmitter motor and control individual or groups of screens — even when you’re away from home! The Hub Connector is perfect for the smart home as it integrates easily with your Echo or Google Home.
Hub Connector App
Controlling your screens or shutters from your phone. Create a different scene for how you like to use your solution screens, including a timing function for preprogrammed operation at set times. You can also ask Alexa to control your shutters or screens for you! The app is free of charge. The app operation is an upgrade and must use the HUB which is an additional charge.
Tucson Adjustable Bottom Bar
Our Tucson Adjustable Bottom Bar is the solution for most sloped patios. It helps the screen sit flat, closes off gaps, and ensures complete coverage for your home. The Tucson Adjustable Bottom Bar automatically adjusts to the slope and returns to level when retracted.
LiTouch Safety Drive
The Solution Screen has become even more reliable through the use of the all new LiTouch Safety Drive. The LiTouch Safety Drive is added to Tucson Signature Series motors and allows the screens to travel down without concern for obstacles or resistance. This specialized system will wait if resistance is encountered and continue down when free.
